Wow, this book caught me off guard. I was wondering thru KU not really looking for anything in particular and stumbled upon the book. The cover didn't tell me much and the blurb was just enough to make me download. I figured it would at best give me reading material for a relaxing bubble bath.
Well flash forward a few hours I'm hooked can't put the book down. Read till I couldn't keep my eyes open then picked it right back up this morning.
It's incredibly well written with an intriguing mystery.
Alma is very good at finding treasures when her and her best friend go hunting for gold. For them, this means looking for unusual antiques. When she happens to find a watch and coincidentally meets a man and woman that will change her future forever. The watch takes her dreams into the past to visions of her mother who died giving birth to her. But are they dreams? Is she remembering her past lives? Or is she seeing thru other's eyes? She's always had amazing day-dreams imaging the people that owned her found treasures but perhaps they are more than daydreams.
I'm rarely surprised by stories. Typically I figure the who done it or how they did it just prior to the reveal. That was not the case here the ending shocked me. I was sad and mad and kinda happy at the same time.
This will not disappoint. This will keep you guessing till the very end and even after.
So many interesting ideas and thoughts in this story I can't wait for more. I really hope there is more!
